to boost trade potential of state industry

Council(CHEMEXCIL)has opened an office in Ahmedabad to boost
the trade potential of the Gujarat-based chemicals and
pharmaceuticals industry.
The office will be inaugurated on Saturday by the CHEMEXCIL
chairman, Mr. Kishore Chokhani. CHEMEXCIL had around 1,200
members form Gujarat, which contributes more than 50 per
cent of the country's turnover in pharmaceuticals,
chemical's turnover in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, dyes and
dyes intermediates.
"With an office in Ahmedabad, CHEMEXCIL members form
Gujarat will get easy access to information on exports and
the global market," Mr. Satish Shah,regional chairman,
CHEMEXCIL, told ET. Besides, CHEMEXCILwill take up its
members grievances with the government agencies like
customs, he said.
Also , various incentives for the industrial units can be
routed through the Gujarat office.
Besides the new office, CHEMEXCIL, in association with
Ebizchem Pvt. Ltd, today launched a trading platform for its
6,500-odd member companies. The platform will give it
members access to a range of 1lakh product and database of
30,000 companies. To be known as 'CHEMEXCIL tradezone",
the platform will also enable its members to conduct
confidential negotiations and close deals.
Besides CHEMEXCIL, Dye-stuff Manufacturer's Association of
India and Ankleshwar Industries Association (AlA) have also
tied up with Ebizchem to launch their own trade platforms.
While DMAI has 350 members, All has around 1,200 members.
